After 8 years of hard work, effort and dedication, the Inter-Crew Federation, chaired by Gerardo Bernal, has achieved one of the great goals for our festivities: the declaration of the San Roque Festivities as an Event of National Tourist Interest.

Yesterday we said goodbye to the San Roque Festivities 2026, and today it is time to look back, take a breath and, above all, say thank you.

It has been an intense few days, full of moments, emotions, music, tradition, togetherness and countless hours of hard work. And we can proudly say that we have experienced festivities we can all be proud of.

Thank you to all the crew members and visitors for enjoying yourselves, for filling our streets with joy and, above all, for the behaviour you have shown throughout these days. You have lived up to the spirit of San Roque, helping the festivities unfold in a fantastic atmosphere.

Thank you to all the committees of the crews and to all their volunteers. The work behind four days of festivities is enormous and begins many months in advance. Without your effort, enthusiasm and commitment, San Roque would not be what it is.

Our thanks also go to the Mayor of the City, José Manuel Aranda, for his constant and invaluable support for Interpeñas and for working alongside us to help our festivities continue to grow. Thank you to Arturo Ballano, Councillor for Festivities, for his approachability and willingness to help throughout these celebrations, and thanks also to Héctor Sarriá, former Councillor for Festivities, for all the work he carried out and for his commitment to San Roque during his time in charge of the department.

Thank you to the security services, the National Police, Local Police, Guardia Civil, Red Cross, Civil Protection, municipal services, cleaning staff and everyone who has been working during these days while the rest of us were enjoying ourselves. Their work is essential to ensuring that we can enjoy the festivities in peace and safety.

Thanks also to all our supporters, companies, professionals, artists and everyone who has contributed their work and effort to making each and every event possible.

And allow me a particularly personal thank you.

This has been my last San Roque as President of the Inter-Crew Federation.

There will be time to take stock. To look back and remember everything we have experienced over these years: the good times, the difficult moments, the successes, the mistakes, the projects that came to fruition and all those moments that will remain in our memories forever.

But today is not the day to take stock.

Today is the day to say THANK YOU.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted us over these years, helped us, supported us and worked alongside us to ensure that Interpeñas could continue to grow.

And, above all, thank you to every member of the Interpeñas Executive Committee. For your time, your dedication, your often invisible work, the hours taken away from our families, the worries, the decisions, the debates, the laughter and for always being there. It has been a privilege to share this journey with you.

I would also like to apologise to our neighbours for any inconvenience that may have been caused during these days. We know that festivities on this scale can also create disruption, and we greatly appreciate your understanding.

Now it is time to rest, enjoy what we have achieved and, later on, take stock.

Because San Roque does not end here. San Roque lives on in every crew member, every crew and every person who feels that these festivities are part of their own lives.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me to experience these years from such a special place.

Thousands of supporters, many personalities and San Roque at the top

On the morning of August 9th, San Roque Hill once again became a place of gathering, remembrance, and emotion with the celebration of the traditional Mass for deceased members of the San Roque social clubs, officiated by the Abbot of the Collegiate Church of Santa María, Don Jesús Vicente Bueno.

This is how the Peña Brotherhood was experienced at the Coso de Margarita, a day to share, enjoy, and show that, beyond the colors of each shirt, we are all part of the same celebration.
